The ICOM M-602 also boasts a full keypad, so you can either use the tuning dial for channel selection, enter the channel number directly or simply punch 16 on the keypad for instant results. A true DSC (Digital Selective Calling) radio, simply hook it up to your GPS through NMEA connections and the M602 is ready to send your lat/long position and vessel information to SAR and other boaters. It also has a GPS repeater function that displays your position info right on the display of the radio. Also built-in is a 22 watt hailer. ICOM's newest addition also provides for multiple second stations. You can install up to 2 of ICOM's optional Command Mics for easy operation of the radio from almost anywhere on the boat.
